On the Cleethorpes country park lake this morning were:
1 gc grebe
8 gadwall
1 shoveler

Elsewhere, I accidentally flushed a s-e owl on the saltmarsh (I nearly trod on it).

Two jays flew over the leisure centre - presumably freshly arrived from the continent.

At te nearby boating lake, a heron and a cormorant were keeping their distance.

Sadly,  haven't seen any of the big numbers of redwings that have been reported from Spurn this week.
