Kingfisher surprise

What at first I  thought was a GS Woodpecker was, in fact, a Kingfisher. I didn't expect to see one up in the trees on Cleethorpes foreshore nature reserve this morning. 

Also on the scene were a Song Thrush and a Blackcap.

A total of three Swallows were also seen.

On the edge of the saltmarsh, there were two Wheatears, and somewhere I heard a Greenshank calling.
