Thanks, Jon. Pleased about that. I wouldn’t have been surprised if it had been sold what with all the planned development.
I visited last week and saw fresh evidence of the cattle, there was also cattle on the mitigation site.

Hello Peter,

I am not aware that the property has been sold. I speak with the owner fairly regularly and she has made no mention of it. When I last visited on 21st July (WeBS count day) the cattle were still present - they spend quite a lot of time grazing on the area by the "back pond" and are not always visible from the car parking area. The angling board disappeared sometime ago, not sure if it fell down as a result of high winds or whether it was pulled down during an act of anti-social behaviour!

Sat afternoon July 20th - Pond area only

Mute Swan 35
Cormorant 2
Black Tail Godwit 82  (several small flights over as well)
Oyster Catcher 2
Greylag 42  + couple of hybrids
Little Grebe 4
Tufty Duck 14
Gadwall 3 female
Pochard 1
Coot 4   + 2 on raft with 3 chicks
Blackbird 1
Yellowhammer 1

no Swallows/Swifts etc

A lady told me she thinks the place has been sold. Any club members with information?
There we’re no cattle, and Angling board had gone, ominous.
