10 grey plover on central beach, Cleethorpes, just after high tide this morning.

Also 100+ bar tailed godwit, 150+ knot, 20 dunlin, 40 sanderling, 20 redshank and 200 oystercatcher.

Some of the grey plovers were coming into breeding plumage - not so the godwits, nor the knot.

Anyone know why oystercatchers retain same plumage throughout the year?
