Sightings this morning included two firsts (for me) of the year - yellow wagtail and sedge warbler.

A willow warbler and at least one blackcap are still singing (as Sunday) at the copse near Tetney outfall sluice.

Whitethroats are on the increase, and it was good to see a short-eared owl and a few avocet in pools near North Cotes.

There are still some Brent geese lingering .
