Jan through to Apr I have good numbers on my feeders in previous years so I will report at a later date on whether numbers have declined as you suggest

I've had a few Lesser Redpoll on my feeders over the past few weeks and had my garden's first ever Common Redpoll yesterday. Looking at BirdTrack it looks like Lesser Redpoll have been above average this autumn/winter? My ringing trainer told me the other day that he has been catching quite a low proportion of juveniles this year, potentially pointing towards a poor breeding season this year.
