Was showing well in sun on Grebe Lake at 2.45pm, a little later it stopped feeding and joined the main flock of tufted ducks who were swimming very fast together. Then it and a tufted male appeared to be attacked from below (? pike). Both escaped eventually but Ring-necked duck then disappeared near reeds for a while. Reappeared about 15 mins later when ducks calmer.
No sign 5pm but all Pochards had left as well.

It is on Grebe Lake, from car park follow track on the far right and it is the first large water area and there is a convenient bench to sit on while you watch

Keep us informed Alan, I probably will not be able to get until Wednesday. I'm glad you were able to catch up with it, I've been chasing Ring-Necked Ducks for a while but always dipped out so far.
