Highlights at the outfall sluice late morning today included three grey plover, 19 golden plover overhead and 12 fieldfares.

On the nearby Bishopthorpe windfarm mitigation fields, there were c 50 curlew and c 200 starlings. On another ploughed field, there were c 30 lapwings. 

Only raptor was a kestrel perched on an overhead wire.
