on a mown and cattle grazed wet c 30 acre area of site
124 Brent geese including 28 young, c 270 mixed black head and common gulls, 94 lapwing , scattered wood pigeons and c 35 starling
Also on the 230 acres site 2 kestrel  c 28 Mallard ( partially hidden by rushes) 19 rook 6 crows ,

in the c 18 years since the site was created the water table is as high as i have ever observed, and possibly will be the highest ever due to works
to heighten sluices and block drainage pipes this year,  so possibly a good wader breeding year 2024 ?.
