This morning I joined Andy Chappell and Martin Sizer at our ringing site.  A foggy morning which produced a few thrushes gave way to a sunny morning.  There was a small influx of Goldcrests with a Yellow-browed Warbler amongst them.  3 Common Redpolls and 5 Lesser Redpolls were caught together which gave an ideal opportunity to compare the two sub-species.  Undoubted highlight of the day was a female Bearded Tit which is the first Martin has seen let alone ringed in 40 years at the site.
