RSPB Tetney Marshes was created by Jim Wright
An osprey flew over the RSPB's Tetney Marshes reserve at 9.30am yesterday and was last seen, from a great distance, evading the turbines in the Bishopthorpe windfarm.
(Downside of photography is that there's no guarantee you'll get a decent shot and you lose time which could be better spent gazing in rapture.)
Sightings elsewhere on the reserve included:
4 Knot
2 Dunlin
2 Grey Plover
3 Snipe
In a dyke near the adjacent outfall sluice, there was a single green sandpiper.
