Sadly the light was fading rapidly at high tide (6.30pm) today while I was at the rock armour whale's tail on Cleethorpes North Prom.

There were c 100 turnstone roosting, two oystercatchers and another paler shorebird which was too indistinct to identify - possibly a dunlin.

A rock pipit also made a brief appearance.
