Highlights this morning at the outfall sluice included 1 greenshank, 1 grey wagtail , 2 common sandpiper and a peregrine overhead.A skein of c100 wild geese flew high (and noisily) over the RSPB reserve. There was also a lapwing and (on the edge) a wheatear.A flock of c100 golden plover are still present on a nearby ploughed field. Hirindundine numbers seem to have slumped - with just 10 apiece for swallow and housemartin.
