Black-Necked do tend to be close in, but Red- Necked favour the centre, annoyingly. Do you realise it was a year today (14th.) that the Wryneck was at Covenham?

Thanks Pete - happily it was relatively close range. I have no patience with grebes, divers, terns etc that insist (which many do) on staying central!

Yes, Black-necked Grebe. There has been one seen at Toft Newton and also Cadney Reservoir resently too.
