Cleethorpes whimbrel

This party of whimbrel flew over the Humber sea wall and Grimsby Town FC's Blundell Park ground in Cleethorpes at midday today. They were calling persistently in that panicky way that seems typical of them (and several other waders species  such as redshank, greenshank and common/green/wood sandpipers).
