Late-morning yesterday (August 19), there was a whinchat at Tetney Lock outfall sluice. Unfortunately, I made a complete hash of the photo and thus did a great discredit to what was a superb bird. Here's hoping there'll be a few more soon so I can make amends. It's one of my favourite passerines.
