Replied by Jim Wright on topic Snowy Owl at Wainfleet
The bird was not immediately evident at same location at 10am today. Hopefully it is just lying low and will reappear later.

I wondered if any one was going to post something on the Forum about this bird without using Twitter; so well done Russell. This morning it had moved to the right eventually ending up on a wooden cable drum. It showed well even though it was distant. I understand that yesterday people viewed from the sea bank but today the steady stream of birders viewed from the tarmac track. Park over the final hump down Sea Lane and then go right for about half a mile. The gate is fairly obvious but todays cable drum less so but half a mile right of the gate. Just like going to Wembley with Lincoln City I never dreamed these events would happen to me!!!

Hi Phil
I was just about to post when your post popped up.
The Snowy Owl was seen by quite a few Lincs Birders this afternoon showing from about 300m distance viewed from the sea defence bank at the bottom of Sea Lane Friskney.. It spent most of the time behind a gate but turned it's head a few times.

I've heard a rumour there was a female Snowy Owl at Wainfleet, this afternoon, anybody seen it? I've been working at sea today and will be tomorrow, so can I ask that no one gets to close until after I've seen it on Friday morning.. ;-)
