Highlights of a 45-minute walk just before dusk this evening were four swifts - a singleton and a group of three screaming - and two singing blackbirds.

Far out on the sand flats off the leisure centre, there were c. 90 godwits, some in breeding plumage.

A short walk along the foreshore mid-morning today produced two common sandpipers (uncropped photo attached - I challenge you to find both) ) and two juvenile yellow wagtails.

On central beach, there were three common/Arctic terns perched on the sand alongside b-h gulls.

Yesterday evening (5pm-6pm), on the tideline were three sanderling and 10 dunlin which didn't seem to mind the heavy drizzle and strong winds.

Swifts are gradually disappearing - none yesterday and just four singletons by 4pm today
