Who knows what goes on in the mind of a swift! It's nice to know that Cleethorpes is enjoying good numbers though, the maximum I've had over Somercotes is a pitiful 4!

Since June 30, there has been a steady and impressive daily movement of swifts over Cleethorpes. Sometimes between 6pm and 9pm, there have been as many as 200 an hour. The direction seems to be ESE.
Does anyone know the  migration route taken by swifts when they leave Lincolnshire? Over which countries do they pass before reaching  the Sahara?
