Tetney Lock dotterel

Thanks to whoever put out the word re the three dotterel at Tetney Lock this morning and to Phil Jones who it was alerted me.

There was a steady stream of birders  this morning to view the birds.

They were mostly distant and often almost invisible when sitting. Just with my x10 binoculars, I would have struggled to nail the ID, but someone kindly let me have a glimpse through a scope. No mistaking them, then.

Very good to see them again at this location after the unpredictability of the past few years.

Other good sightings in the vicinity were a passing marsh harrier and a corn bunting.
