Covenham Reservoir today was created by Gill Riches
Very few people at the reservoir when I visited today between 11:30 and 13:00. The highlight was a pair of ravens, which flew out from the plantation by the water treatment works and landed on the fence posts midway along the east arm. After a few minutes they flew round, over the plantation edge and landed briefly on the concrete wall in the north east corner, before disappearing from view.
Other sightings:

Gadwall x 10
Goldeneye x 8
Coot x 2
Redshank x 5 (4 flyovers + 1 feeding on the apron in front of the clubhouse)
Pied wagtail x 1
Grey wagtail x 1
Linnets x 3
Great spotted woodpecker x 1
Buzzards x 3
Swallows x 2
Kestrels x 2
Skylark x 1

Plus crows, rooks, mallards, tufted ducks and black headed gulls, but too numerous to count.
