Thanks, Neil.  Do you know if anyone submitted the Darvic number or metal ring number of any of these birds to the BTO?  I would be more than interested to find out where they were originally ringed.

Visited the Boating Lake with the grandchildren today and was surprised to see that a lot of the Barnacle Geese had colour rings and what appeared to be BTO metal rings - there were also a few Greylags with BTO rings.  I thought they were pretty sedentary and would be interested to know who ringed them - any ideas?
