Would love to say yes, but I don't Honestly think so! The green was very shiny, but it also had the pale flash on top of its head and no neck band.

Visited Far Ings Nature Reserve today and saw an unusual Wigeon on Target Lake. It was amongst about 16 others on the lake, and there were about the same number over the bank in the river.
It was a male and had most of the usual markings and colour, except it had iridescent green face markings like an American Wigeon, around the eyes and tapering down the neck. No photo, sorry. Would it be a hybrid?
