On early morning 220123 in very frosty conditions a fine sight of 152 whooper swans roosting on Rimac foreshore lagoon
 
230123  over foreshore 1 grey and 1 brown hen harrier and male and female marsh harriers, 1 barn owl, 2 stonechats in sea buckthorn
C4500 pink feet geese continue to roost on foreshore and feed on local old grassland , i counted c 3000 on  a local field on 22nd and a little owl sunning in a old boundary hedgerow.

mostly Male blackbird numbers increased noticeably over the past week as they return to the east coast preparing to migrate back to mainland Europe  
numbers 9 a week ago and 18 this morning on my garden feeding area.
