Cold weather movement - Snipe

This afternoon I had a walk south of Market Rasen including a 120 acre waterlogged stubble field in TF1186.  I flushed at least 9 Snipe as I walked through.  I have never seen them there before and the usual time to see any numbers of Snipe in the area is March when they are on passage.
