Witham Great White Egret flock was created by Phil Hyde
Drove along the river Witham this morning between Kirkstead bridge and Orchard Park caravan site (downstream of Tattershall bridge) and had an amazing flock of four Great White Egrets together about a mile upstream of Tattershall bridge. Not sure if this number has ever been recorded together in Lincolnshire, but I stand to be corrected. Also recorded the following:
Little Egret 12
Goosander 36 (18 male, 18 female)
Scaup 2 females
Wigeon 120
Mallard 30
Tufted Duck 24
Pochard 8
GC Grebe 12
Little Grebe 4
Teal 40
Regards
Phil
