About  500 lapwing flew over the reservoir in two flocks on Weds 30th  just before dusk.
Had excellent views of the Slavonian grebe and the velvet scoter that afternoon as well plus there was a flock c 10 -12 of female goosanders.

Estimation of number of Grebe please. Otherwise by default it goes down as one and by what you have written it is surely more than that

Had a good session there yesterday despite the mist. The water was totally flat making viewing much easier - Highlights were
Great Northern Diver
Slavonian Grebe
Velvet Scoter
Pintail 2
Ruff
Grey Wagtail 3
Hundreds of common wildfowl and never seen as many G C Grebes in one place.
