Cliff Morrison phoned me at 0800 to say there was a W T Eagle on the Theddlethorpe beach, i went out from C L and viewed it from the foredunes through my 10x42 bins
then set up my scope and looked for it but it had flown down to Crook Bank beach and settled there for a few minutes before flying off southwards over Mablethorpe
The bird looked an immature , in the poor light / visibility
The spring tide has left a strandline of 10 to 40 m by up to 1 m deep of snow and ice on foredune front, and some remains of dead birds visible including PF Goose woodcock and Redshank,as well as lots of plastic waste.

regards John
