Cleethorpes sightings

Mid-afternoon today there were high counts on  Cleethorpes country park lake of gadwall (19) and coot (26) which, for some reason, always favour the patch desihnated as a dog-bathing area.

In the trees/shrubbery around the lake perimeter I only registered two small passerine species - one each of  blackbird and dunnock.

On one of the playing fields off Taylors Avenue, there was one curlew plus  four corvid species - magpie (1), jackdaw (4), carrion crow (2) and rook (5). I just needed a jay and a nutcracker and it would have made my weekend.
