5 Whoopers flying low west to east over outer beach opposite the Kingsway at 10:30 approx this morning. 3 adults and 2 juveniles. Heading towards Tetney as Jim observed yesterday.   Really great to see, as Max said, ‘made my day’

I was hoping today's Cleethorpes birds might land, but they seldom do. They seem to head down the Humber to its mouth at Tetney Lock, then head inland.

Would be interesting to know at which location they reach the British mainland and their route therafter.

The tailender was maybe thinking of stopping off for an ice cream. The five I saw today came from north then came towards me in west then went east then came back west then turned and went south, they came over the fishing ponds and then decided not to land.

Seven whooper swans (one struggling to keep up) over Cleethorpes saltmarsh at 4.45pm today. Also a stonechat near leisure centre.
