Braved the elements yesterday to have a quick walk over patch and managed to connect with 2 new birds for the patch this year: 3 dunlins feeding along edge of river and a flypast kingfisher (up to 82 species now). Also 32 teal and great crested grebe on the river. No snipe at all.
Activity in garden really picking-up as you'd expect with over 20 fieldfares now coming to apples, pears, etc. A black-headed gull also made a brief landing on our garden feeding station.
Cheers
Brian
