Tetney Lock sandpipers/ Humberston redshanks

At the outfall sluice, there were four dunlin mid-morning. In a nearby dyke, there were four sandpipers which were two far away (for me) to identify. 

Later, I saw one of the birds closer. I take it to be a green s'piper with a snipe behind it. However, I stand to be corrected.

Earlier, I counted 250-plus redshank feeding on the sand creeks on the beach at Humberston behind the Fitties chalet park. They really like this slice of habitat.

Still a few swallows and housmartins about, but warblers and chats seem to be in short supply so far this autumn.
