Unusual Cleethorpes herring gull

I thought at first that this juvenile herring gull on Cleethorpes beach yesterday might have had a nail in its eye, but, on further scrutiny, it's more likely to be a growth. Happily, the bird did not seem to be in any distress, though I'm not certain if it had a right eye.
