Juvenile Siskin

Yesterday I caught and ringed a juvenile Siskin in my Market Rasen garden.  It had not started its' post-juvenile moult.  Given the proximity of the extensive coniferous woodland of Willingham Forest it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that it bred locally!
