Not heard a Cuckoo this year around Cleethorpes Country Park either, Stuart. Recent years the call has only been brief, and only a couple of days.
As for more inland birds, a friend heard a Cuckoo at Blyton, vicinity of Owlet Woods. Don’t know of it myself, but that’s the location given, and was heard last weekend.

Wow, we too where there around 8am and heard and then saw it on the scrubland separating the boating lake from the beach. I tried stalking it to get a decent photo, but every time I got within range he flew off a bit further. I had heard it on Monday near the Meridian park, but never saw it then. Today had some great views of it flying.

My wife and I were near Cleethorpes Boating Lake at 1100 today when we heard and saw our first Cuckoo of the year.  I have been walking and ringing in the woodland near Market Rasen regularly and not seen any sign of one.  They are definitely declining rapidly in this area and I think there must be a definite coastal bias.  The 2020 Bird Report tends to support this as 7 out of 10 of the featured sites are on the coast.
