A mixed flock of finches and buntings were feeding on the remains of one f only a few game cover plots that has not been ploughed for reseeding. It included 6 Brambings (over 30 a week or so ago)14 Yellowhmmers, 6 Reed Buntings, 12 Linnets c 10 Greenfinches and c 20 Chaffinches. Nearby my firs Yellow Wagtail of the year.
My village (Rippingale) had 3 singing Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcaps and one Swallow.
