This Cleethorpes boating lake gull is almost black-headed already.

I too was surprised to hear a GSW drumming in the woods at the back of our house in Healing, 4 days ago. A female is a regular visitor to our feeders at the moment.

I had some visits to make today - whilst at Woodhall Spa I heard two separate Great Spotted Woodpeckers drumming by the Kinema in the Woods - I don't recall hearing them this early in the year.  Later,  I was surprised to see two Egyptian Geese on the Witham Bank about half a mile from Tattershall Bridge.  On my return to Market Rasen it was nice to hear a Mistle Thrush in full song by the Goof Club Car Park.
