This Morning my wife and I were driving away from Boston at about 8:50 on the A1152 just outside Swineshead.  Just before the road moves away from the Hammond Beck we saw a brown heron type rise up over the bank of the beck and drop from view.  The view was too fleeting to be confident but we both said Bittern at the same time. So I am putting it on here if anyone has a scope to check the beck from Swineshead bridge.
