I enjoyed a productive walk down Dunsby Fen yesterday.
Highlights:-
2 Marsh Harriers - one an adult female and the other a juvenile with a red tag on the left wing. If anyone knows where this hailed from i shall be grateful.
Also 2 Red Kites , 3 Buzzards, 2 Kestrels, 1 Woodcock, 2 Grey Herons, 2 Bramblings- my first for the patch this winter, 1 Green Woodpecker, 170 Greylags and 75 Canada Geese.
On the neighboring Rippingale Fen there were over 60 Lapwings but no sign of the 600 Golden Plover that were there last week. 39 bird species in total and 6 Fallow Deer - all bucks.
