This afternoon at the country park, there were six g-c grebes. Also two herons - as it landed in a reedbed, one of them flushed a kingfisher.

Later (about 3.45pm), a combination of the incoming tide and sunshine resulted in good views of dunlin, knot and sanderling on the central beach.
