We had breeding Black Redstart in 2010 at a farm in North Lincolnshire with no public access but never seen any there since.

A Black Redstart has been present in a garden off Littlefield Lane, Grimsby for 10-11 days. I visited yesterday to take some photos and speak with the homeowner. It is an unusual and also excellent garden record.

I wonder where it has come from? We have had an overall lack of easterlies this autumn but that doesn't entirely rule out it being from the continent. Or is this evidence of potential local breeding birds? Black Redstart was last known to breed in Lincolnshire in 2012 but I have heard of possible breeding sites in North East Lincs discussed in recent years.

Any thoughts welcome. Photos attached.
