Great that you're getting out and about again, John.

As our  American counterparts like to say: "Nature - you've got to be in it to win it!"

Bonby Carrs. was created by John T Goy
Went to Barton yesterday afternoon to road test a new scope (compact one) well pleased so purchased it a Hawke Endurance ED 13-39 x 50mm well happy at price and a lifetime guarantee once I've registered it online. Will try it out later today on the patch.

Popped in to Far Ings reserve for me lunch and while there certainly missed seeing lots of birds at the feeders, expect no one feeds them anymore. Didn't owt bar pigeons and gulls, was hoping a bittern may fly past.

Going through Horkstow I spotted 5 skeins of PFG going east towards coast hard to see when your driving reckon c300 maybe more.

I headed for Bonby Carrs and as expected I had place to myself arriving at 15:15 and leaving at 16:50 left. Didn't see many birds but wasn't bothered I just wanted to breath in fresh air and be alone with nature, the following are what I saw:
Grey Heron over
Mute Swan - 2
Willow Warbler - one juvenile.
Linnet - 9
Buzzard
Rooks and Crows.
Always enjoy Bonby even if nowt there but the highlight was certainly the WW youngster quite close up as well.

Enjoyed the fresh air and the solitude , was well refreshed when returned home at 17:45

Kind regards
JTG :)
