Brickyard/Churchill Lane

Thought I had found a glaucous gull this morning at Brickyard Lane. At extreme distance I began to walk towards it. It flew north and settled again well north of Churchill Lane. Eventually I got nearer. My scope wasn't much use as the bird kept its head under its wing in the stiff breeze. So kept walking until this large white bird popped its head up. It turned out to be a large white goose of the domestic type. Did I swear-well what do you think?

Later there was in the region of 120 twite (year tick) between Churchill and Brickyard Lanes but not that much else. Just a few grey plover (year tick) dunlin, sanderling, curlew, oystercatchers and a lesser black-backed gull flying north over the sea
