Thats both good and bad news Stuart , good one is there but late for nesting and rearing young , if it attracts a female ?
Hope it returns earlier next year .
Will be very interesting to see the results of the 2021 national survey , this is the best year at ST nnr for a decade or more

Hi John. For the first time since we moved here 20 years ago a Turtle Dove has been calling for the past week. It is in a hawthorn hedge on the Linwood side of Market Rasen TF115884.

more data on Turtle doves over past month now shows 7 territories on ST NNR

Turtle Doves etc ST NNR was created by John Walker

2020 5 territorial males and 2 young seen 2021 4 males currently holding territories .
willow warblers and linnets are much reduced and just 2 grasshopper warblers in song ,
a garden warbler holding territory is the first for a few years.
Will complete final CBC this coming week
