Interesting GG Shrike sighting, I was driving through East Ravendale around 10 days ago and had a quick sighting of a bird rising from the roadside verge to hedge top. Stopped, but couldn’t locate it. Blackbird/Starling size and distinct black/white, pale markings.  Very distinctive.  Some years since one was spotted here.

100521 Spotted flycatcher near Churchill Lane car park ST nnr
110521 whilst carrying out BTO wet meadows BBS on field near Great Eau 
flushed a snipe then a surprising sight ,  a great grey shrike perched on hawthorn on field margin ( private land )

Also c 120 ringed plover on ST nnr foreshore early morning.
