Suspected Predation Humberston ?

A dawn cycle ride to Humberston Fitties Pools this morning , 5 foxes seen on the waterline of the beach enroute ! Unfortunately a mute swan nest on a small island now lays bare . On Sunday I had seen a signet beneath the pair and had hoped to see further development, however a fox’s head arose from the empty nest and on seeing me scuttled away leaping off the shallow island . I could not see the normal resident pair at all .Two separate cuckoos calling on the Fitties and three whitethroat along South Sea Lane hedgerow .
