Covenham Reservoir sightings

Had a walk round this morning, 6.30-8.00, 2 swifts, many swallows, house Martins, and sand Martins, 2 common sandpiper. The best bird was a kingfisher showing bright orange and turquoise in the bright sun.

Cold and drizzly at Covenham this morning.Sightings between 9.30 and 10.15 included 3 common sandpiper, 1 drake pintail, 20 tufted duck, 10 great crested grebe, 15+ yellow wagtail, 5 swifts and numerous hirundines - mostly swallows but also a few house and sand martins.
