Will do Stuart , Robs first visit to site and he was very impressed he got a real buzz seeing male crossbill in full sunlight at 30 m
we regularly walk various circuits in the Wolds especially when the hoards of visitors descend on coastal sites as they are currently

John,
Nice to see you coastal birders venture inland occasionally!!  Looks like you had an excellent days' birding.  Crossbills (largest flock this spring 21) commute regularly from the Golf Course to and from the Warren and Woodlark are now a rare visitor.  Give my regards to Rob.

Rob Scott and i had a good 2.5 hours walk around whole site and sightings included

crossbill 1 pair male coming down to drink  , more heard adjacent FC wood,  siskin 1 pair nesting material,  treecreeper 1 ,  nuthatch 2 song 1 female at nest hole ,another song in nearby FC woods ,    willow warbler 1 song,  chiffchaff 4,  woodlark 1 song,  green woodpecker 2,  mistle thrush 3, song thrush 1,  common buzzard pair over , coal tit 1 nest material.
