I remember doing a BTO survey there about 15 years ago mainly due to a wee pond in the main street, is it still there, there wasn't much day I went bar a few mallard. I remember the steep hill with no passing place!

My wife and I had a pleasant walk around the village this morning.  The habitat is mainly cereal crops plus the lake near the Hall.  Birds seen include:
Canada Geese      30
Greylag Geese.     12
Mallard.                  18
Tufted Duck.           9
Coot.                       5
Moorhen.                 2
Common Gull.    c140
RL Partridge.          38
Pheasant.               11
Woodpigeon.          90
Rook.                      27
Carrion Crow.           4
