Was going to mention the Woodlark but not seen any for years! I remember not sure how many years while watching a common lizard near the feeding station spotted a pair of Woodlark opposite side of road in the long grass. Last ones we saw were down Sands Lane a few year back. Pleased they still there!

Last time we went to Butterwick Hale a few months ago we were charged at by a mad bunch of cows. We had to climb a barbed wire fence to escape them! Not been near there since.

Thanks for all the sightings on my patch you have supplied over the months, most interesting. There seems to be a lack of owl sightings though. A pair of Barn owl did nest in the local village at one time and I saw one most times down BB or my other fave area at one time of day, but sadly no one ever puts anything down for Butterwick Hale any more. When the fields flooded it was an excellent place for waders and ducks in good numbers. A pair of Barn Owl nested down there for many years. I enjoyed going to the Hale until some prats dumped a load of pallets on the track leading to the fishing gate and set fire to them only yards from my car, had to ring for fire brigade to put fire out so I could go home, that put me off parking etc.
Had SEO there years ago. There is always some prat out to spoil our fun!!!!!!!
Regards
Max
